Founder of Udugore
Udugore wasn’t born out of a big business plan—it bloomed from a lockdown, a little hope, and a handmade calendar for a friend.
Back in 2021, like many of us, I found myself jobless during the pandemic. To stay creative, I tried my hand at illustrations and made a calendar as a personal gift. A few people saw it, loved it, and wanted to gift it to their loved ones. Then they asked, “Can we add a few more things to it?” And just like that, a simple calendar turned into a thoughtful gift hamper.
That was my lightbulb moment—I’ve always loved the art of gifting, so why not make it something more?
A few months later, I gave this little venture a name close to my heart—Udugore, which means "gift" in Kannada. It felt just right. Rooted, real, and full of intention—just like the gifts I curate.
Fast forward to today: I’m still mostly a one-woman army, pouring my heart into every box. When it gets wild (hello bulk orders), my amazing friends step in—and sometimes I hire help to keep things smooth. But the curation? That’s always my favorite part. Especially when someone’s gifting to someone they really love. I want it to feel personal. Thoughtful. Never boring. No random filler items—just gifts that say, “Hey, I know you. And I care.”
People now know me as Udugore—which is honestly the best feeling ever. Before asking how I’m doing, they ask how Udugore is doing. That’s when I knew this wasn’t just a small business. It became a part of me.
From emotional orders that never made it to their recipient, to surprising people with little details they didn’t even know they’d love—I’ve seen how powerful gifting can be. I want to carry that into the future. My dream? To grow Udugore into a go-to sweet brand for gifting—where even the most professional presents still feel personal.
So if you’re ready to gift something that makes someone say:
“OMG, really?! This is SO me! Thank you, I love this!” —
Let’s create that magic together.
